The Fort Belvoir Bowling Center was a center for fun, July 25, as the Fairfax-Lee Chapter of the Association of the United States Army, AUSA, held its annual Celebrate the Army - Family Fun Night. About 150 Service and family members attended the free, 3-hour event that featured cosmic bowling and Virginia Barbecue.
Ken Britt, AUSA chapter president; and Kathy Callahan, first vice-president; and other members of the chapter’s board of directors, welcomed the group. Those who ended up with lucky tickets won door prizes, including Nationals tickets.
AUSA’s Fairfax-Lee Chapter has more than 4,000 members from the Potomac River to West Virginia. The chapter has been serving Soldiers, Army civilians, and Army families since 1972 and hosts events throughout the year.
