Virtual Healthy Eating Workshop

Join ACS’s Family Advocacy Program for a Virtual Healthy Eating Workshop today from 10 – 11 a.m. This class will help you create healthy eating habits for you and your family. Enjoy samples of a healthy plate, discuss portion sizes, and receive a booklet with family friendly recipes. Other upcoming dates are April 16 and July 16, 2021. Operation Sugarplum 2020 Underway

Registration is open until Nov. 17 for Belvoir’s Annual Operation Sugarplum. Each year, ACS partners with local donors to help support service members and their Families during the holidays. Thanksgiving Dinner To-Go – Final days

Leave the cooking to us! MWR is offering Thanksgiving Day Dinner To-Go as an alternative to meal preparation or dining out. The 10-person menu features Turkey, Mashed Potatoes, Cornbread Stuffing, Green Beans or Collard Greens, Cranberry Sauce, Rolls w/ Butter and Turkey Gravy for $150. Ham and desserts can be added on. The dinners will be prepared and ready for pickup on Wed., Nov. 25, by 7 p.m. Payment is due at time of reservation and can be paid over the phone or in-person at the Golf Club, 8450 Beulah St, Bldg. 2920, on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. All reservations must be made by Nov. 16. Relaxation and Stress Relief Workshop

Is stress not letting you focus on anything else? Join ACS for a virtual Relaxation and Stress Relief Workshop. This class will discuss useful tools to manage stress in a healthy way. Topics will include how to identify stressors, the impact of poorly managed stress, the link between stress, anger and other emotions, and more. Upcoming workshop dates are Nov. 17, Feb. 11, May 13, and Aug. 12, 2021. Dads 101

Let the Army Community Service New Parent Support team show you how to overcome your fears and get comfortable in your paternal role. This virtual class teaches dads and dads-to-be the needed tips and tools to help them become more successful. Whether a first-time dad or a first-time attendee, this session will empower you with advice and tricks to become the best dad you can be. Upcoming class dates include: November 18, and December 9, 2020. Class dated for 2021 are: January 6 and 27, February 10 and 24, March 10 and 24, April 14 and 28, May 12 and 26, June 9 and 23, July 14 and 28, August 11 and 25, September 8 and 22, and October 13 and 27. Virtual Turkey Trot 5k/10k

The Turkey Trot 5k/10k is Fort Belvoir’s premier race of the year and this year it will be held virtually. Participants can choose their own course for either distance. Registration and run will take place from Nov. 1 - Nov. 30. The cost is $15 and entitles the first 650 participants to a commemorative shirt while supplies last. Don’t forget to wear your turkey costumes or festive fall apparel, and post your photos on the MWR Facebook page using #TurkeyTrot2020.
