The annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony will start at 5 p.m. Dec. 7 at the Belvoir Chapel. This is a garrison commander’s community-wide event and will involve festivities at Specker Field House.

The Fort Belvoir Jewish Community will have their annual Menorah Lighting Ceremony at 9 p.m. Dec. 21 at the Belvoir Chapel. A Hanukkah Dinner will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Dec. 7 at Woodlawn Chapel.

Jewish services will meet as regularly scheduled on Friday evenings at Belvoir Chapel throughout the holiday season. Saturday services are sched for Nov. 17 and Dec. 15.

The Roman Catholic Community will worship Sundays as regularly scheduled throughout the holiday season. Special catholic services for the Christmas calendar include:

  • Immaculate Conception Mass at 12:05 p.m. Dec. 8 at Woodlawn Chapel
  • Catholic Advent Penance Service at 7 p.m. Dec. 10 at Woodlawn Chapel
  • Christmas Eve (Children’s) Mass at 4 p.m. Dec. 26 at Belvoir Chapel
  • Christmas Eve Mass at 6 p.m. Dec. 24 at Belvoir Chapel                 
  • Christmas Eve Midnight Mass at midnight Dec. 24 at Belvoir Chapel
  • Christmas Day Mass at noon Dec. 25 at Belvoir Chapel   
  • New Year’s Day Mass at noon Jan. 1 at Belvoir Chapel

There will be an Advent “Carols and Lessons” at 5 p.m. Dec. 21 at Woodlawn Chapel.

The Protestant Community worships Sundays as regularly scheduled throughout the holiday season. Special services for the Christmas calendar include the Christmas Eve Protestant Liturgical at 6 p.m. Dec. 24 at Fairfax Chapel and the Christmas Eve General Protest at 7 p.m. Dec. 24 at Woodlawn Chapel.
