As 2020 continues to bring new surprises around every turn, there is one step we can take to protect our health and the health of our families - we can get our seasonal flu vaccine. The Fort Belvoir Community Hospital team expects the arrival of our flu vaccine supply within the coming weeks. Our Community Flu Vaccine Clinic will begin operation in November at the Fort Belvoir Community Center. We’ve moved the location from inside the hospital to the Community Center, located across the traffic circle from the hospital, out of an abundance of caution during the COVID-19 pandemic. See the details below:
Per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, “There are many benefits from flu vaccination and preventing flu is always important, but in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s even more important to do everything possible to reduce illnesses and preserve scarce health care resources.”
As we continue to fight the COVID-19 battle together as one team, let’s do this one thing – let’s get our flu vaccine!
We look forward to providing continued updates through the Flu Clinic Hotline at 571-231-7777 as well as FBCH websites, publications, and social media sites. Please note, our vaccine supply is arriving on a rolling basis this year. In the event that our vaccine supply is depleted, the hotline will be updated and patients with appointments will be notified.
