Child & Youth Program Assistant Alicia Smith is sharing her love and enthusiasm toward science with North Post Child Development Center students and families. She gathered staff, children, parents and administrators to create a unique science experience for everyone to enjoy. Smith designed unique, age-appropriate science experiences for children from infants to 5 years old to experiment with and learn while playing.

During these science experiments’ period of development, Smith brought the NPCDC community together with parent collaboration, teachers’ involvement and supporting administrative staff.

The science fair was conducted in correlation with fine arts activities at the child care center. Among the fine arts display is unique children's artistic and creative expressions, like "Creative Star Constellations," "Camp Fires," and "Exploring Space" exhibitions.
