Twilight Tattoo is an hour-long, live-action military pageant featuring Soldiers from The 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) and The U.S. Army Band “Pershing’s Own.” The event is a glimpse into American history through performances by The U.S. Army Blues, vocalists from The U.S. Army Band Downrange and U.S. Army Band Voices, The Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps, and The U.S. Army Drill Team.

Guests are welcome to photograph the Soldiers before, during and after performances. Some of the performers will greet audience members as they arrive and all will be available at the conclusion of the Tattoo to answer any questions and pose for photographs.

Twilight Tattoo is a free event, no tickets are required. Bleacher seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Grass seating is also available and blankets or lawn chairs are recommended.

If there is inclement weather, Twilight Tattoo performances will move indoors to Conmy Hall on Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall. There is a limited seating capacity in Conmy Hall and once that capacity is reached they will not be able to accommodate any more groups, registered or otherwise. Weather decisions will be made by 1 p.m. the day of the Tattoo. Call the MDW Events Line at 202-685-2888 for more.
