Veteran Belvoir Eagles forward, Anthony Johnson, executes his trademark high-altitude lay-in during his team’s showdown with JBAB, Saturday.

After four weeks on the road, Fort Belvoir’s Eagles men’s division squad returned to Graves Fitness Center to take on Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in a high-velocity Washington Area Military Athletic Conference basketball showdown, Saturday.

Maintaining a combination of precision passing and accuracy from all over the hardwood with a no-prisoners approach to man-to-man defense, the Eagles emerged on top, putting a 79-69 victory into the week-10 books.

Belvoir’s teams—the Eagles and the Lady Eagles—compete annually in matchups played on weekends throughout the winter. The WAMAC season ends with a major double-elimination championship tournament.
