With hours of preseason practices and two weeks’ worth of regulation games in the books, Fort Belvoir’s Bulldogs football teams are ramping up intensity on both sides of the ball, as the Fairfax County Youth Football League season heads into Week 3.
In the 80-pound Central-Division 2, the home squad downed the Springfield Youth Association, 26-12, Saturday at Pullen Field.
Elsewhere in the league, the Ankle Biter Division-3 Bulldogs triumphed over the Fort Hunt Federals, 26-13 and in the 90-pound Central-Division, the Bulldogs narrowly fell to the Fairfax Police Youth Club Rebels, 12-6.
It was a tough day for the 100-pound Central-Division 1 Bulldogs, suffering a 32-0 loss to the Springfield Sharks.
